TMACOG is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to help transform data into meaningful insights that support regional planning initiatives. This is an early career opportunity which will provide the potential to learn new skills.

Salary and Job Title:

Salary and job title will be determined based on experience and education. The following title and starting salary range will be considered:

  • Job Title: Data Analyst

  • Salary Range: $40,000 – $60,000


Responsibilities:

  • Collect and organize data from various sources, including fieldwork.

  • Perform quality assurance and control on datasets.

  • Assist in processing and analyzing GIS, travel demand, water quality, and economic data.

  • Support planning initiatives with accurate and insightful data analysis.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure data integrity and usability.

    Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Meticulous attention to detail.

  • Solid understanding of data management principles.

  • Proven experience with data analysis (strongly preferred).

  • TransCAD, ArcGIS Pro, and/or Cube experience beneficial.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics, geography, urban or regional planning, public administration, or a related field.

  • 1–3 years of related experience.

  • TMACOG observes 12 holidays

  • TMACOG offers two (2) personal days

  • Sick leave accrues each pay period with a maximum of twelve (12) days per year. Sick leave carries forward each calendar year.

Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage. Potential for contributions to a Health Savings Account (if eligible).

Retirement:

Membership in the Ohio Public Employee’s Retirement System (“OPERS”) is required for all public employees. TMACOG contributes 14% towards the pension contribution. TMACOG offers the Ohio Deferred Compensation Program, which is a great supplemental opportunity for retirement savings.

NOACA - Associate Director of Human Resources

Organization

The Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA) is a regional government planning agency. As the area's Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and Areawide Water Quality Management Agency, NOACA conducts transportation and environmental planning for a five-county region that is home to 2.1 million people and includes the counties of Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Medina. NOACA's staffing level is currently budgeted at a maximum of 47 full-time equivalent (FTE) positions. 

Position Summary

The Associate Director of Human Resources provides strategic leadership and administration of NOACA’s human resource functions including but not limited to: administration of policies and procedures; recruitment and retention; classification and compensation; organizational culture and development; performance management; employee development and training; employee benefits and wellness; and employee relations. The Position is responsible for implementing the organization’s personnel policies, procedures and practices in a manner that is fair, equitable and consistent with NOACA’s core values, and for ensuring that the organization is compliant with current labor laws and regulations. The Associate Director of Human Resources reports to the agency’s Executive Director and CEO and serves as a member of the agency’s Senior Management Team (SMT).

Minimum Credentials and Experience

·         Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, labor relations, organizational development, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

·         Society of Human Resources Management certification as a Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred

·         At least 10 years of experience in the field of human resources, with at least 5 of those years in a senior position that involves supervising, managing, or leading people, programs, and processes. Master’s Degree may be substituted for 1 year of experience

·         Experience in public sector organization preferred

·         Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

·         Salary minimum $99,562.23 to commensurate with experience, education and certification

NOACA Manager of Environmental Planning

The Manager of Environmental Planning supervises and collaborates with the air quality, climate pollution reduction, and water quality planners within NOACA’s Strategic and Environmental Planning (SEP) Division.  Under supervision of the SEP Division Director, the Manager coordinates projects, programs, and plans and monitors the budgets for those activities. The Position also serves as the Agency’s primary point of contact for and works closely with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) state and regional offices, and the Ohio Association of Regional Councils’ (OARC) Rideshare/Air Quality and Areawide/Water Quality Subcommittees.
